Great if you have a combination skin! Just use a little, 14 Sep 2009

By Lesley-Anne Laurence

I think that this is a superb eye cream for people with oily/combination skins. I baulked at the £35 price tag (I didn't buy it from this website), but it is the first eye cream I have ever used that has really made a noticeable difference. I have combination skin with an oily t-zone and dry cheeks. I am 33, but started using this about 2 and a 1/2 years ago. The rest of my skin can get dry if I don't use the right products, but the moment I use a cream that is too rich, I also get spots. This is especially true for my eyes where I also get those white spots and that oily closed up feel in the morning. I think that half the trick for everything you use on an oily skin is that less is more. If you have the good fortune to have a skin that "moisturises" itself than you only need a cream to supplement it and balance it. In which case, it makes the most sense to buy good quality creams but only use a little. My directions - squeeze a tiny amount onto your ring finger (half a pump, honestly!). Tap it together with your other ring finger and then tap (don't rub) it round your orbital bone (below the eyebrow round to the section between your cheekbone and lower eyelid). Don't rub it in and pull at your eye. Don't put it right on the top and bottom eyelids (that just makes your eye puffy). Twice a day if possible. Once before bed if not, (it has a chance to sink in without being removed by day to day life). I don't know if this cream is rich enough for older people looking for a wrinkle defense cream, but as a pale skinned combination woman who started to notice the lines around here mid-20s (exams and long hours taking their toll), and spent several years trying to stop them increasing, I can categorically state that this is the first cream that has worked for me.
